Winners of the competition
"The Best Exporter of the Year 2010" were awarded

On May 27, 2011 a ceremony of awarding the winners of the Republican competition “The Best Exporter of the Year 2010” was held in Minsk. The competition was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Martynov, who attended the ceremony, read the greeting of the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich to the participants and winners of the competition.

The head of the Ministry that is responsible for foreign trade notes that export accounts for more than half of GDP of Belarus, the sales abroad need to be increased in the current economic conditions, because in the present situation export is one of the main means to change this situation.

Such guests of honour as representatives of state administration authorities, diplomatic corps and business elite of the country attended the ceremony.

The chairman of the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and CIS Relations of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Karpenko, the Chairman of Bellesbumprom Concern Vladimir Shulga, the First Deputy of the Minister of Architecture and Construction М. Abramchuk, Deputy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs А. Guryanov, Deputy of the Minister of Agriculture and Food V. Kazakevich, Deputy of the Minister of Trade E. Matulis, Deputy of the Minister of Economy А. Kudasov, as well as Director of Center of System Business Technologies SATIO, UE J. Griniuk awarded the winners in separate categories.

As it was discussed earlier, this year's winners were determined in 16 categories.

Belarusian Automobile Plant, OJSC won the prize in the category "Machinery and Metal-Working" and Belarusian Steel Works, RUE was the winner in the category "Metallurgy". The prize for winning the category “Refining, Chemical and Petrochemical Industry” (companies with annual exports below 25 million U.S. dollars) went to Mineral Wax Plant, OJSC and the prize for winning the category "Refining, Chemical and Petrochemical Industry” (companies with annual exports above 25 million U.S. dollars) went to Grodno Azot, OJSC. Borisov Plant of Medical Drugs, OJSC was the best in the category "Pharmaceutical and Microbiological Industry”. Integral, OJSC has been recognized as the best company in the category "Electronics and Instrument-Making”. Minsk Electrotechnical V.I. Kozlov Works, PRUE won the prize in the category "Electrical-technical and Optical-mechanical Industry". JV Conte Spa LLC was the winner in the category "Light Industry". Babushkina Krynka, OJSC won the prize in the category "Food Industry". Agrokomplex Skidel, Holding Company was the best in the category "Agriculture". JV Brestgazoapparat, OJSC won the prize in the category "Production of Consumer Goods for the Population". Osipovichy Forestry, State Forestry Institution was the winner in the category “Forestry and Logging Industry”. Svetlogorsk Pulp and Board Plant, OJSC was the best in the category "Woodworking, Furniture and Pulp and Paper Industry". Berezastroimaterialy, OJSC won the prize in the category "Building and Construction Materials". AVI, FPUPTE was the best in the category "Enterprises of Small Business” and EPAM Systems, FPUPTE won the prize in the category "Enterprises and Organizations Engaged in Information Technology".

Atlant, Inc., Holding Company Pinskdrev, CJSC, Dyatlovo export and sorting flax base, OJSC, Itera PET, FPUE, Slutsk cheese-making plant, OJSC, Keramin, OJSC, Belmedpreparaty, RUE, LeanGroup, LLC and Joint LV LLK-Naftan, LLC got encouraging certificates.

BelCCI provided to the winning companies the right to use the special symbol of the competition - “the running God of commerce Mercury” for labelling their own products.

Next year the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to expand the list of categories of the competition “The Best Exporter in the Year 2011” and to determine the best players of the Republic of Belarus on the world export market.

The winners of the prior years

Vitella, Foreign Private Unitary Enterprise, established in 2001, is an affiliate of chwartau Concern. This is a modern enterprise producing the ingredients for food industry. GEFEST-TEKHNIKA, Unitary Enterprise, manufactures gas stoves “Gefest” being popular in all CIS countries. A wide experience in this industry guarantees the high quality of the products. ATOMTEKH, Unitary Enterprise, is a leader in the development and manufacture of the instruments and equipment for nuclear measurements and radiation monitoring.
Gomselmash, Republican Unitary Enterprise,
is the largest Belarusian producer of agricultural machinery and combine harvesters.

Conte-Spa Ltd., Joint Venture, is a light industry enterprise producing a wide range of hosiery for women, men and children.

Grodnokhleboproduct, Open Joint Sock Company, is a cooperative and integrative organization which includes the production, reprocessing and marketing of products.

KOSWICK, Foreign Private Production Unitary Enterprise, is a manufacturer of hardwood flooring from natural wood: solid wood flooring, uniblock flooring, two-layer and three-layer wood block flooring.

Verkhnedvinsk Cheese-and-Butter-Making Plant, Joint Stock Company, is one of the best Belarusian producers of dairy products and butter. Its cheeses have gained great popularity outside the Republic of Belarus. ScienceSoft Inc., Joint Venture, is a Belarusian software developer.
   
VIC – Animal Health, Foreign Private Production Unitary Enterprise, is the producer of about 40 veterinary products for animals.
