THE BELCCI AND THE ACADEMY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION UNDER THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS HAVE SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT. THE DOCUMENT PROVIDES FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND HOLDING OF JOINT TRAINING SESSIONS AT THE ACADEMY, HOSTING CLASSES AND INTERNSHIPS FOR THE ACADEMY STUDENTS AT THE BELCCI PREMISES, JOINTLY PREPARING EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONS, HOLDING VARIOUS EVENTS, COMMERCIALIZING THE R&D RESULTS OF THE ACADEMY.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has many years of experience in organizing business training programs. The main areas include management, strategic planning, presentations and public speaking, quality standards, marketing and advertising, exhibition activities, transport and warehouse logistics, public procurement, finance, IFRS, pricing, accounting and management accounting, taxation, foreign economic activity, customs regulation, appraisal of intellectual property, real estate, businesses, and other topics.

Given the main mission of the ­BelCCI is to promote the export potential of domestic companies, the ­Chamber is actively developing services for training specialists on the key aspects of export activities. For three years, a unique project "Export Academy" has been implemented, aimed at increasing the competencies of specialists involved in all stages of foreign supplies organization. Maintaining close contacts with business circles, the BelCCI knows what companies need, therefore, when organizing training programs, it strives to introduce the approaches that will be demanded by entrepreneurs.

Starting this autumn, new opportunities will be offered by the Business Training Center of the BelCCI: ­Belarusian businessmen will be able to undergo advanced training with the issuance of the State Certificate in the "Communications. Law. Economics. ­Management. Economics and Production manage­ment" educational specialization, "Communications", "Law", ­"Economics", "Management", ­"Economics and Production management" fields of education; "Physical Education. Tourism and Hospitality" educational specialization, "Tourism and Hospitality" field of education.

In its business training activities, the BelCCI cooperates with the leading higher educational institutions of the country, both in developing programs and in attracting scientific and pedago­gical staff as lecturers along with leading representatives of the business community, government agencies in the fields the trainees are interested in. There are enough areas, projects where the ­BelCCI and educational institutions can work together, increasing the human and intellectual potential of export-oriented companies and thereby contributing to the development of foreign economic relations of the country.

Aiming to strengthen business relations, enhance practice-oriented education and improve the educational infrastructure that facilitates foreign economic ties development, Vladimir Ulakhovich, Chairman of the ­Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Viachaslau Danilovich, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the ­Republic of Belarus, signed the Cooperation ­Agreement between the two organizations on June 14.

As part of the Agreement implementation, it is planned to jointly develop and hold training programs in the field of foreign economic activity aimed at developing entrepreneurship and improving the personnel competencies, to introduce specific projects to increase the educational process efficiency, as well as internships of future specialists, to implement joint projects in information and publishing activity, to hold business and exhibition events. The BelCCI and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus have agreed to cooperate in the following areas:

  • providing advice and conducting joint training sessions (including round tables, thematic discussions) on practice-oriented programs and disciplines with the involvement of the BelCCI managerial staff and specialists;

  • organization of classes and internships for the Academy students at the BelCCI;

  • assistance in improving the level of professional skills of employees (internships, exchange of experience, etc.);

  • joint preparation of educational publications, as well as the publication of scientific, scientific-practical and journalistic materials on agreed topics in the newsletters of the parties;

  • development and implementation of educational programs and interaction in the field of advanced training of managers and specialists of export-oriented enterprises;

  • exchange of information on the main trends in the world economy development, export opportunities;

  • assistance in the development of small and medium-sized businesses, search for business partners, enhancement of cooperation in marketing, socio-economic studies;

  • organization of exhibitions and expositions, as well as other events that contribute to strengthening the positive image of Belarusian business entities in foreign markets, including the development of pavilion concepts and their decoration;

  • the BelCCI-based commercialization of the R&D results of the Academy of Public Administration.

The BelCCI Chairman said that the signing of the Agreement was the first step, which created the framework for further long-term cooperation of the Chamber and the Academy, provided for uniting the potential of the two organizations to implement ambitious goals and objectives in the field of personnel training and foreign economic activity. "There are many areas and fields we can successfully cooperate in to ­develop educational infrastructure, expand international relations. I am sure that we will implement the projects planned and will meet the new aca­demic year with developed programs," Vladimir ­Ulakhovich underlined.

The Academy Rector Viachaslau ­Danilovich confirmed the importance of the Agreement: "Now we need to put it in practice. I am sure that there will be successful projects and ambitious tasks for us to solve together."

As he visited the Academy of Public ­Administration, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered a lecture for the Managerial Personnel Institute students majoring in State Administration and Economy. Vladimir ­Ulakhovich spoke on the activities of the Chamber on developing the external economic relations of Belarusian business with foreign partners, rendering practical assistance to enterprises in the promotion of the domestic products to foreign markets, presented the key directions and principles of the ­foreign trade policy of Belarus, the structure of domestic exports and major brands that promote the country image abroad.
