14th Belarus-Lithuania Economic Forum

Vitebsk played host to the 14th Belarus-Lithuania Economic Forum. The event was attended by the representatives of state authorities, business associations of Belarus and Lithuania, businessmen from the two countries.
The addresses during the plenary part were made by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Utyupin, the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Lithuania Alexander Korol, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Belarus Andrius Pulokas, the President of Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists Robertas Dargis, the President of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Sigitas Gailiūnas.
The forum participants discussed key areas of Belarusian-Lithuanian trade and economic cooperation. The presentations of Belarusian and Lithuanian companies were held, as well as roundtable discussions and branch sessions on light industry, transport, regional cooperation. The businessmen had an opportunity to hold bilateral talks during a business matchmaking session.
In order to establish mutually beneficial cooperation, the Lithuanian entrepreneurs visited a number of Vitebsk region enterprises.
Inter-chamber cooperation issues were discussed by the General Director of the Vitebsk Branch of the BelCCI Natalya Vorobyova and the General Director of the Siaulai Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts Alfredas Jonuska. The sides expressed interest in mutually beneficial cooperation, information exchange and joint arrangement of the regional business delegations visits.
