7th International Economic Forum and Republican Exhibition-Fair "Orshanskiye Traditsii"

The 7th International Economic Forum and Republican Exhibition-Fair "Orshanskiye Traditsii" (the Orsha traditions) have been finished in Orsha. The events were organized by the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Orsha District Executive Committee.
The first day of the international forum was dedicated to twin-cities cooperation. A plenary session was held with the participation of the Chairman of the Standing Commission on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Ludmila Dobrynina, the Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Nabeshko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Sergei Pats, the representatives of Belarusian business community, of city administration, enterprises and organizations of Bryansk, Vyazma, Volgodonsk, Gagarin, Ivanteevka, Pskov, St. Petersburg, Smolensk.
The plenary session participants discussed inter-regional cooperation issues, the investment and innovation potential development of the regions of Belarus and neighbouring countries. The presentation of a large investment project of the construction of a multimodal industrial and logistics complex in Bolbasovo settlement was held.
The agenda of the second day of the forum included a plenary session entitled "Light Industry Cluster Development" and a number of thematic sections. The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a seminar "Practical Aspects of Export Activities".
The events of the third forum day were united by a common topic "The Youth and Business: a Step Forward". The Vitebsk Regional School of Business, the Belarusian Fund of Financial Support to Entrepreneurs and a number of other institutions delivered presentations for the Orsha district educational establishments students.
The multi-branch exhibition-fair "Orshanskiye Traditsii" demonstrated products and services of more than 60 enterprises and organizations from all parts of Belarus.
The forum and exhibition participants and guests got an opportunity to establish business ties with potential partners and to discuss further cooperation prospects. The Vitebsk Branch of the BelCCI organized the forum guests' visiting of a number of Orsha district enterprises as well as of the handicrafts center in Kopys settlement.
