Agreement on Russian-Belarusian and Belarusian-Russian business councils

The agreement on the creation of Russian-Belarusian and Belarusian-Russian business councils has been signed at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation by the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich and the President of the CCI of Russia Sergei Katyrin.
Participating in the signing ceremony were the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on cooperation with the Republic of Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Babich, the Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation Vladimir Stepuk, the Chairman of the Belarusian-Russian business council – CEO of Santa Impex Brest Alexander Moshenski, the Chairman of the Russian-Belarusian business council – the Maganing Board Chairman of URALKHIM Dmitri Mazepin.
The business councils include 27 Belarusian businessmen and 44 representatives of the Russian business community. According to the BelCCI Chairman, they represent the Belarusian and Russian business elite. The business councils are supposed to resolve a number of problematic issues in the near future, first of all, the removal of obstacles and the provision of equal terms of doing business. "Entrepreneurs are willing to work in equal conditions, Vladimir Ulakhovich said. There are great prospects for joint cooperation, including in the field of import substitution and joint promotion of products to the third countries."
Following the signing of the agreement on the creation of Russian-Belarusian and Belarusian-Russian business councils, the heads of the councils, Alexander Moshenski and Dmitri Mazepin, concluded a memorandum on cooperation between the two business structures.
