Belarusian-Czech business forum in Vitebsk

During the visit to the Republic of Belarus of the Czech delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Tlapa, the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic for the CIS countries organized the Belarusian-Czech business forum in Vitebsk.
The event was supported by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Belarus, Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Czech Republic, Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the Administration of Free Economic Zone "Vitebsk".
The business forum was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Martin Tlapa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic Belarus to the Czech Republic Valery Kurdyukov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Belarus Tomas Pernitsky, General Director of the Vitebsk Branch of the BelCCI Natalia Vorobyeva, Chairman of the Board of the CCI of the Czech Republic for CIS countries Frantisek Masopust, representatives of business community of the two countries.
The forum addressed topical issues of the Belarusian-Czech trade and economic cooperation, including regional cooperation development prospects in the areas of ecology, agriculture, innovative technologies, metalworking; successful joint projects of Belarusian and Czech business. A cooperation agreement was signed between the Vitebsk Branch of the BelCCI and the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic for CIS countries.
The plenary part of the forum was followed by a business matchmaking session. The representatives of about 30 Belarusian and Czech enterprises discussed cooperation opportunities in the areas of construction, engineering and energy, the use of innovative technologies of construction waste recycling, the supply of piping, sewage and heating systems, financial services, and others.
