Belarusian-German economic forum within the Days of Belarusian Economy in North Rhine-Westphalia

The Belarusian-German economic forum was held in Lünen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, that became the major event of the Days of Belarusian Economy in North Rhine-Westphalia.

On the Belarusian side the forum was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy Dmitri Matusevich, the Head of International Cooperation Department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Golovarev, the representatives of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, free economic zones "Brest" and "Minsk", a number of enterprises and organizations. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Federative Republic of Germany Denis Sidorenko welcomed the forum participants.

The participants pointed out the framework conditions of doing business in Belarus, new opportunities for foreign investors in various spheres. Particular attention was paid to successful investment projects with German capital that have been implemented in Belarus, as well as to industrial cooperation potential. Alexander Golovarev presented the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its opportunities to facilitate networking and cooperation between the Belarusian and German business communities.

During their stay in Germany, the Belarusian delegation members took part in the meeting with the managing board of the Dortmund Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with Dortmund businessmen, visited a number of specialized enterprises for waste recycling, held negotiations with the German companies' representatives interested in the implementation of investment project in Belarus.
