BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich takes part in the extended-format meeting of the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich took part in the extended-format meeting of the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

During the meeting the Heads of State welcomed the interaction between the business circles of Belarus and Tajikistan and drew attention to the considerable potential in trade and economy, emphasizing the interest of both sides to intensify efforts to set up effective joint manufacturing facilities, to harness the opportunities of free economic zones, boost bilateral trade.
The Belarusian President named the areas where Belarus and Tajikistan need to deepen their cooperation. They include the manufacturing industry, the supply of Belarusian trucks, road construction machinery and passenger vehicles, and renovation of the rolling stock taking into consideration Tajikistan's climatic conditions, agriculture, including education in this sphere, the production of food, dairy products, cooperation in science, education and culture.
The leader of Tajikistan emphasized the importance of friendship and mutual support between the two countries. "We attach much importance to the development of multipronged cooperation with Belarus. We enjoy close relations of mutual respect, trust and support and we value them very much. Tajikistan confirms its readiness to further political dialogue, expand trade and economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian relations between the two states. We will also assist the expansion of direct ties between the regions of our countries and economic entities," he said.
A treaty on strategic partnership was signed by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon as well as the joint statement to confirm their interest to develop all-round cooperation in the long term and emphasized the need for deepening the interstate relations.
A number of important documents on cooperation in various fields were signed in the presence of the presidents of the two countries, including the updated Cooperation Agreement between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.

The Agreement stipulates deepening of inter-chamber relations in order to facilitate business ties between the two countries' organizations, joint arrangement and holding of business events, including in the trilateral format "Belarus – Tajikistan – Afghanistan".
