The BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich took part in the extended-format meeting of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the meeting, the heads of state welcomed the positive trends in bilateral trade and cooperation of businessmen from Belarus and Uzbekistan, and highlighted the significant potential of bilateral trade and economic cooperation given there is great interest from both sides in joining efforts on the set up of joint ventures and ensuring the increase in bilateral trade volumes.
Alexander Lukashenko confirmed the determination to strengthen trade and economic ties between Belarus and Uzbekistan. "Over the period of its independence, Uzbekistan has made a breakthrough in national economy diversification, has created new economy branches, such as car engineering, petroleum chemistry, agricultural machinery production. Belarus is keen to enhance economic cooperation with Uzbekistan, including through the implementation of joint investment projects," the Belarus President said.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed willingness to expand cooperation with Belarus in all realms.
Following the meeting, a number of bilateral documents were signed in the presence of the heads of states, including the Agreement on the establishment of the Belarus-Uzbekistan Business Council. Singing the Agreement were the BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich and the Chairman of the CCI of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov.
