BelCCI Chairman V.Ulakhovich takes part in the 18th meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS member states

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich took part in the 18th meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS member states. The meeting had the format of a videoconference.

The meeting was also attended by the Executive Committee Chairman, Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergei Lebedev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS member states Adham Ikramov, President of the CCI of the Republic of Azerbaijan Niyaz Ali-zade, President of the CCI of the Republic of Armenia Martin Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Ayan Erenov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Sharshekeyev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova Sergiu Harea, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov, representatives of diplomatic missions of the CIS countries accredited to Uzbekistan, and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in the CIS countries.

The meeting participants considered promising directions for the development of trade and economic cooperation between business circles of the CIS countries, measures to support businesses and minimize the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Commonwealth countries, plans for joint work of the Council members for 2021.

Vladimir Ulakhovich presented the main areas of the BelCCI's activities to assist Belarusian companies in overcoming the consequences of the pandemic, including new services and activity formats, shared the successful experience in organizing a virtual exhibition and plans to hold other similar events, informed about the launch of the virtual B2B platform.

The members of the Council decided to contribute to the creation of a favorable regulatory framework in the CIS countries for cooperation between business circles, to promote the development of interregional ties in the CIS to ensure sustainable economic growth, to participate in the development of measures to support entrepreneurs of the Commonwealth countries and overcome the consequences of the pandemics, to intensify work on holding business and exhibition events with the participation of business circles of the CIS countries, including in the online format.
