Exhibition and Congress Council set up in Belarus

An Inter-Agency Council for Exhibitions, Fairs and Congresses has been set up in Belarus. The decision was formalized by Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 806 as of 27 November 2019.

The Council is led by Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich, the Deputy Chairman of the Council is the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich.

The Inter-Agency Council for Exhibitions, Fairs and Congresses is a standing advisory agency that will coordinate efforts in arranging and promoting congresses and fairs. The Council will hold ad hoc meetings. Organizational and information support will be provided by the BelCCI.

The Council is authorized to take decisions, within its scope of authority, to improve interaction between government agencies and other organizations in the domain of exhibitions, fairs and congresses. The Council can also submit proposals to the Council of Ministers regarding improvements to exhibition-related activities.
