Exhibition of Belarusian Manufacturers "Made in Belarus" in Almaty

The exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers "Made in Belarus" was held in Atakent-Expo complex in Almaty on April 9 through 12. 

The exhibition was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Almaty Chamber of Commerce and Investments, the Akimat of Almaty. Exhibition operator was Belinterexpo unitary enterprise of the BelCCI.

Anatoly Nichkasov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan, Mukhtarkhan Biyarov, General Director of the Almaty Chamber of Commerce and Investments, Andrei Shakhanovich, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of Akimat of Almaty, Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty, public authorities and business communities of both countries participated in the exhibition opening ceremony.

More than 70 enterprises were participating in the exhibition representing such spheres as engineering and mining industry, petrochemical industry and transport, household appliances production, food production, consumer goods manufacture, scientific development, medical tourism. The participants include open joint-stock companies "MTZ", "BELAZ" – management company of holding "BELAZ-Holding", "Belshina", "BATE" – management company of holding "Avtokomponenty", "Electroapparatura", "Horizont Holding managing company", dairy-meat industry enterprisers: LLC "Primemilk", JSC "Zdravushka-milk", Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, Slutsk Meat-Processing Plant, Mogilev Meat Processing Plant, Minsk Meat Processing Plant. A large scientific and technological developments exposition was organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. CJSC "Vitex" and JV "Belita" Ltd. presented a wide range of skincare and decorative cosmetics.

There were more than 50 industry expositions, thematic photo-zones and a conference venue, "Belarus' Images" exhibition, consumer goods trading fair in the exhibition center's pavilion.

Following the exhibition opening ceremony, "Kazakhstan – Belarus" business forum took place in Atakent-Expo, attended by the representatives of the Belarusian Embassy in Kazakhstan, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty, businesses of two countries. The participants have discussed prospects of the Belarus-Kazakhstan trade and economic cooperation development, considered opportunities for the expansion of goods nomenclature and developing bilateral turnover, the issues related to mutual projects implementation, scientific and technical cooperation and technology transfer, industrial cooperation development, financing of exports, cooperation in the fields of mining industry and infrastructure, healthcare and tourism.
