Improving the Economic Relations between Turkey and Belarus symposium

The Belarusian-Turkish symposium "Improving the Economic Relations between Turkey and Belarus" has been held in Minsk. It was attended by Vladimir Ulakhovich, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahmet Incekara, President of the Economic Research Foundation of Turkey, Pavel Utyupin, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, Kadir Bal, Vice Minister of Economy of Turkey, Kezban Nilvana Darama, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Belarus, the Turkish-Belarusian Business Council Chairmen Dmitri Dichkovski and Sefa Gomdeniz, representatives of 36 Belarusian and 20 Turkish enterprises and organizations.
Belarus and Turkey can considerably increase mutual trade the development of new technologies, the implementation of big investment projects, and industrial cooperation, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry the BelCCI Chairman told. In his words, the markets of the two countries are huge. "What is more important is that we can enter the market of the Eurasian Economic Union and also the countries with which Turkey has a free trade zone with joint products. These are mainly neighboring states of the Middle East and North Africa,” Vladimir Ulakhovich said.
In turn, Ahmet Incekara, President of the Economic Research Foundation of Turkey, underlined that Turkey was interested in developing ties with Belarus in all spheres, with the priority being given to trade and economic relations.
During the symposium, the possibilities to expand Belarusian-Turkish trade and economic, investment cooperation, the financing of joint projects, the experience of companies operating in Belarus and Turkey were considered. The businessmen held B2B negotiations on further cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, investment activities, construction, consulting, legal services, etc.
