"Legal Aspects of Foreign Economic Activity" Seminar in Baranovichi

Within the framework of the project "School of Export", the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a seminar for the heads and experts of the export-oriented enterprises of the Baranovichi District. The seminar was held at the premises of the Baranovichi City Executive Committee.

Participating in the event were the BelCCI Chairman, Vladimir Ulakhovich, the First Deputy Chairman of the Baranovichi City Executive Committee, Natalya Fedorova, the General Director of the Brest Branch of the BelCCI, Valery Labun, representatives of the Chief Department of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade for the Brest Region, more than 40 representatives of enterprises of the Baranovichi and Lyakhovichi districts.

On opening the seminar, Natalya Fedorova underlined the importance of the BelCCI activities in the field of the promotion of the enterprises in the district, the legal and consulting support of foreign economic activities, the arrangement of participation in exhibitions and fairs, in business education programs.

Vladimir Ulakhovich described the opportunities offered by the Chamber in advancing the foreign economic interests of Belarusian enterprises, the assistance provided to ensure the domestic entities' entering new foreign markets.

During the seminar, the major instruments to check the reliability of a foreign partner were presented as well as the theory and practical aspects of conducting a foreign trade contract, the possible ways to recover damages and refund money, the issues related to antimonopoly regulation, the types of unfair competition and the mechanisms for its suppression.
