Made in Belarus expo in Kiev

A large-scale exhibition of Belarusian producers, Made in Belarus, opened in Kiev, Ukraine on 10 April.
The exhibition has been organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The operator is the Belinterexpo of the BelCCI. The event is supported by the Embassy of Belarus in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, government bodies and business associations of the two countries.
The exhibition opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Igor Sokol, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Belarus Igor Kizima, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and trade of Ukraine Yury Brovchenko, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennady Chyzhykov, the Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian chamber of Commerce and Industry Vyacheslav Bril.
The exhibition is hosted by the Kiev International Exhibition Center from 10 to 14 April. Taking part in the forum are more than 50 Belarus' leading companies that showcase their latest developments in mechanical engineering and petrochemistry, transport and logistics, agriculture and food products, light industry, medicine and tourism.
The expo features the country's flagship companies in mechanical engineering and industrial equipment such as BelAZ, Amkodor, MAZ, MTZ, Gomselmash, Belarusian Steel Works, Mogilevliftmash, BATE and Mogilev Metallurgical Works. The products on display include samples of mining, agricultural, passenger and road-building vehicles, engine starters and generators, security and fire systems, optical instruments and component parts.
New models of Gefest kitchen appliances are on offer by Brestgazoapparat company. Petrochemical products are showcased by Belneftekhim enterprises: Grodno Azot, Naftan, Mogilevkhimvolokno, Gomel chemical plant, Mozyr oil refinery. Belshina presents car and cargo tires with resource-saving technology.
Models of innovative transport from Beltransnet are on show.
A wide range of caring and decorative cosmetics, as well as a number of professional products for beauty salons, are demonstrated by Belarus' largest cosmetic companies – Belita and Vitex.
The Belarusian light industry is represented by garment factories 8 Marta and Orsha Linen Mill, by Conte Spa and Galanteya companies.
Made in Belarus expo also features Belarus' food and beverage manufacturers, including Dyatlovo Cheese-Making Plant, Shchuchin Creamery. Belarusian companies display cheese, butter, flour and semi-finished products, oat cereals.
The National Tourism Agency presents the country's tourism potential, its unique nature, rich cultural heritage, monuments of world importance, and also promote the forthcoming 2nd European Games MINSK 2019 and the 2021 IIHF World Championship.
The exhibition in Kiev also includes business program with presentations of Belarusian enterprises. The key event of the business program, the conference "Ukraine-Belarus: prospects for cooperation", was held on 10 April. The event was attended by representatives of government bodies of the two countries, embassies, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
