Meeting with the President of FEMOZA World Federation of Free and Special Economic Zones

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov held a meeting with Juan Torrents, President of the World Federation of Free and Special Economic Zones (FEMOZA). The meeting was also attended by Marina Filonova, General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI and Antonina Yezhova, Head of the "Gomel-Raton" free economic zone administration.
Participants of the meeting discussed the organization of the Congress of free economic zones of Northern and Eastern Europe to be held on March 19 – 20 in the business center of FEZ "Gomel-Raton". The congress will be dedicated to the topics of business globalization and foreign direct investment. It is aimed at distributing information on free economic zones and opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment, establishing contacts with foreign partners and investors, sharing experience. The organizers of the congress are FEMOZA, FEZ "Gomel-Raton" and the Gomel Branch of the BelCCI.
World Federation of Free and Special Economic Zones (FEMOZA) was founded in 1999 in Geneva.
Its goals are to support and promote free economic zones around the world, in particular – in developing countries and transition economies, to assist in promoting residents' projects to the international market and attracting foreign investment.
The functions of FEMOZA include the development of rules, regulations and directions of free economic zones' development, providing them with technical, legal and economic assistance, training specialists.
