Saxony – Belarus Business Council meeting

Leipzig hosted the meeting of the Belarus-Saxony Business Council, organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Leipzig within the framework of the 17th Meeting of the Belarusian-German Working Group on Trade and Investment Cooperation.

Participating in the meeting were the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yevgeny Shestakov. It included the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Federal Republic of Germany, Denis Sidorenko, the Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI Sergei Nabeshko, the President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Leipzig, Kristian Kipral, businessmen from the two countries.

During the meeting, the prospects for increasing Belarusian-German trade, extension of the presence of German business in Belarus, including in areas with preferential investment regime, were discussed. The participants were presented with the possibilities of using exchange electronic trading platforms in mutual trade, the advantages of doing business in the Great Stone Industrial Park and in the territory of the Belarusian free economic zones, with the investment potential of the Leipzig region and enterprises of Saxony.

At the end of the meeting, businessmen of the two countries discussed specific areas of interaction during the B2B negotiations.
