The "School of Export" business course graduation ceremony

The ceremony of presenting the certificates to the graduates of the business course "School of Export" of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held in Minsk.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the BelCCI, Vladimir Ulakhovich, the Deputy Director of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Pavel Vzyatkin, the course lectors and graduates.

The business course, which is the key part of the same-name multifaceted large-scale BelCCI project, has been organized by the Chamber for the second time. The course is aimed to provide intimation and educational support to enterprises and organizations in entering foreign markets, to train company heads and specialists of all departments engaged in the work on the promotion of goods and services for export.

The course was held from September 27 through November 1. The course participants – 166 representatives of 65 Belarusian enterprises of all sizes and ownership, from national economy flagships to individual entrepreneurs, – got informed on peculiarities of such export process aspects as financial resources management, marketing activities, legal and tax accounting, customs support and logistics, business communication with foreign partners, and other.

The Chairman of the BelCCI noted during the ceremony that in matters of export, human capital and the competencies of specialists who are involved in the promotion of products and services abroad are of great importance. "The representative of an enterprise who is working on the export project must meet the high requirements that the global market makes today. He must be competent in matters of managing financial resources, legal regulation, clearly understand the technological features of the export product, know the market conditions, marketing mechanisms and features of communication with partners abroad," Vladimir Ulahovich said. He also drew attention to the fact that in order to perform successfully in the world market with its ever-growing competition, the changing laws of the countries, new consumer requirements, it is necessary to constantly enlarge the knowledge base of the enterprise specialists. And the "School of Export" course is a platform that serves this goal and provides basic information that enterprises need to implement an export strategy.

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry assured that the "School of Export" course will continue next year, including as part of the implementation of a new direction of the BelCCI, such as advanced training of specialists in the field of foreign economic activity with the issuance of a standard state certificate.
