The second meeting of the Belarusian part of the Belarusian-Russian Business Council

The second meeting of the Belarusian part of the Belarusian-Russian Business Council, chaired by the Director General of the Belarusian-German JV "Santa Impex Brest", Alexander Moshensky, was held in Minsk. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Babich took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, issues of business interaction between the two countries were proposed, suggested for discussion by members of the Business Council after its first meeting, in particular, mutual access of goods to the markets, participation of Belarusian companies in electronic trading on Russian commercial electronic platforms. "We also discussed the issues of recognizing our electronic signature, procurement issues and certificate recognition in the Russian Federation," the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich said.
Participants of the meeting reviewed general issues of the Belarusian-Russian Business Council, interaction with public authorities of the two countries and the Russian-Belarusian Business Council. It is planned that a joint meeting of the business councils of Belarus and Russia will be held in summer 2019.
Executive Director of the Russian-Belarusian Business Council Rinat Gizatulin, who was invited to the meeting of the Belarusian part of the Belarusian-Russian Business Council, noted that at the upcoming meetings business representatives from both countries intend to discuss the synchronization of a number of technical regulation documents, the implementation of joint projects and mutual access to government contracts. "In particular, it is discussed how Belarusian manufacturers can get access to our tenders, including those held by the Ministry of Defense or other government agencies," Rinat Gizatulin noted.
The decision to create a Belarusian-Russian business council was made at the 5th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia. The corresponding agreement was signed on December 19, 2018 in Moscow by the Chairman of the BelCCI and the President of the CCI of Russia. The Belarusian part of the Business Council is headed by the Director General of the Belarusian-German JV "Santa Impex Brest", Alexander Moshensky, and the Russian part is headed by the Head of the Board of Directors of URALCHEM, JSC, Dmitry Mazepin.
