Days of the Republic of Belarus in Khabarovsk Region

The Days of the Republic of Belarus were held from 5 to 10 September in Khabarovsk Region of the Russian Federation.

The objectives of this event were strengthening and developing friendly relations between Belarus and Khabarovsk Region, expanding co-operation in various fields and consolidating cultural exchange between the peoples of Belarus and Khabarovsk Region.

Within the framework of the Days of the Republic of Belarus, the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an exhibition of large-size machinery as well as a fair of Belarusian goods in Khabarovsk.

The exhibition presented 17 units of machinery and equipment produced by the country's industrial flagships, including Minsk Tractor Plant and Minsk Automobile Plant and such enterprises as "Gomselmash", "Lidselmash", "Bobruiskagromash", "Minskagromash", "Mogilevliftmash" and Minsk Electric Plant named after V.I.Kozlov.    

Six enterprises – producers of meat and dairy, confectionery and bakery products – took part in the fair: "Babushkina Krynka", Minsk Dairy Plant №1, Mogilev Meat Processing Plant, "Krasny Pishchevik", "Kommunarka", and "Domochay".

IP Kuratnik A.L. and IP Purchelianov Y.V. presented textile products produced by "Bellegprom" concern enterprises, such as "Polessye", "Alesya", "Mogotex", "Lenta", "Bobruisktrikotazh".

On 9 September, the Governor of Khabarovsk Region, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation and the Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee officially visited the exhibition and fair. Within the framework of this visit, the heads of the participating enterprises made presentations of the equipment presented at the exhibition and spoke about the existing results and plans for co-operation with Khabarovsk Region. At the fair, the participants presented their products and held a tasting. In addition, the residents of Khabarovsk Region received a gift from "Babushkina Krynka". It was a 120kg cheese, which was cooked especially for these events.

As part of the business program, a joint meeting of the working group on the topic of cooperation between Khabarovsk Region of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus was held on September 8-9. The business negotiations and business forum "Khabarovsk Region – Republic of Belarus" were also held, where Belarusian and Russian representatives of government and businesses discussed issues of cooperation in various spheres. The business delegation took part in the plenary session of the 5th Far Eastern Entrepreneurs Forum and visited a number of Khabarovsk enterprises.
