The meeting of businessmen with heads of foreign diplomatic missions of Belarus

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a meeting of the heads of Belarusian diplomatic missions and consular offices with representatives of export-oriented enterprises and organizations. The event was attended by 52 heads of foreign missions of Belarus, as well as representatives of about 140 companies and organizations from all regions of the country.

The B2D meeting was opened by a business briefing on cooperation between the BelCCI and foreign diplomatic institutions. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazaruk, Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI Denis Meleshkin noted the importance of such meetings both for diplomats, who understand the aspirations of the Belarusian business, and for business representatives, for whom it is important to discuss supply chains building and exports.

Igor Nazaruk stressed the importance of the joint work of the Chamber and the Belarusian diplomatic missions in holding events aimed at developing international business contacts. "This is a traditional event. We communicate with our ambassadors on the platform of the BelCCI, organize meetings of the heads of our foreign institutions with representatives of the real sector of the economy – the key enterprises of Belarus. This enriches and creates new chains of interaction in order to promote our interests in the countries of accreditation of Belarusian foreign institutions," the Deputy Minister said.

Addressing the heads of embassies, the BelCCI Deputy Chairman spoke about the efforts of the Chamber to increase the export potential of Belarusian enterprises abroad. "The BelCCI continues to actively assist exporters in entering new markets and expanding the geography of deliveries. In the first half of the year alone, we held 277 foreign economic events with representatives of the business community from 38 countries. As for exhibition activities, the first half of this year shows an unprecedented increase in the number of participants and contracts our events organized," Denis Meleshkin emphasized.

The briefing was followed by bilateral B2D meetings of the heads of foreign diplomatic missions of the Republic of Belarus and business community representatives. The negotiations embraced topical issues of B2D interaction aimed at export promotion, solving the problems that domestic companies face while exporting their goods abroad.

After the negotiations with Belarusian businesspeople, the diplomats visited the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park "Great Stone".
