Nine agreements signed during the Belarus-Singapore Business Forum

On the 22nd of March, the Belarus - Singapore Business Forum was held under the arrangement of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Singapore Business Federation and the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce.

On the Belarusian part, the Forum  was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus V. Semashko, the Minister of Foreign Affairs V. Makey, the Minister of Economy N. Snopkov, the Minister of Industry D. Katerinich, the Finance Minister A. Kharkovets, the Deputy Finance Minister of the Republic of Belarus A. Kudasov, the Deputy Chairman of the National Academy of the Sciences of Belarus Presidium S. Chizhik, the Belneftekhim Concern Chairman I. Zhilin, the Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus S. Gurulev, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry M. Myatlikov, and the senior executives of the Belarusian enterprises. The Singaporean part was represented by about 80 business community representatives.

Nine agreements were signed in the course of the Belarus-Singapore Business Forum. Thus, Belarus and Singapore agreed on the establishment of a joint venture for automotive parts commercialization at the Asian market. The agreement was signed with the open joint stock company BelAZ. Belshina OJSC stock house signed agreements on giant tire supply to Malaysia and supergiant tire supply to Indonesia totaling about €500,000. Besides, the Agreement of Intent on muriate potash supply was signed between the Belarusian Potash Company and the company Agrifert Sdn Bhd (Malaysia).

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed the Memoranda of Cooperation with the Singapore Business Federation and the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce.

The Singaporean business community had the opportunity to take a look at the economic and investment potential of Belarus, the prospects of the cooperation in IT sector, and the development in the spheres of science and innovations.  In the framework of the Forum the presentation of the High Technology Park, the Belarusian-Chinese Industrial Park, the Holding Management Company Horizont Group, and other Belarusian enterprises took place. 

The Belarusian delegation invited the Singaporean business to participate in the projects of large petrochemical enterprises modernization, the construction of pharmaceutical factories and joint ventures for food production.

The Belarusian delegation had the opportunity to negotiate with the potential partners during the B2B meeting.
