
The regional meeting of the members of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the election of delegates to the 12th Congress of the BelCCI was held in Mogilev.
The Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov, Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Region Executive Committee Ruslan Strakhar, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Affairs – Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Coordination Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Yaroslav Mitskevich, more than 120 representatives of the BelCCI member enterprises took part in the meeting.
The Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov summed up the key areas of the Chamber's work for three years, noting that over this difficult period for business the BelCCI was actively looking for and introducing new methods and formats of work, expanding and modernizing services to support member enterprises and promote Belarusian exports.
Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Ruslan Strakhar noted the role of the BelCCI and its regional branch in establishing and developing international and interregional economic relations, increasing the export potential of the region, and expressed a desire to develop new forms of interaction with business and facilitate new markets entry. He also noted that the Mogilev Region authorities are always ready to get involved in the process of supporting enterprises in finding foreign partners.
Addressing the meeting participants, Yaroslav Mitskevich, the MFA's Foreign Economic Affairs Department Deputy Director, noted the active role of the BelCCI in the development of new markets by Belarusian enterprises and establishing partnerships with foreign companies.
The participants of the regional meeting were reported on the Mogilev Branch's work in 2019–2022. Gennady Cherny, General Director, noted the positive development dynamics of the Branch, pointing out that the activities in the previous three years were aimed at providing maximum support to businesses in overcoming difficulties, increasing the export potential of the region. He assured that this will remain the Branch's priority in the future.
Vitaly Vabishchevich, Head of the Legal Department of the BelCCI, spoke about the BelCCI's service of force majeure confirmation, which is especially relevant in the current situation, as well as informed about the assistance to Belarusian enterprises in resolving conflict situations with foreign counterparties in the current conditions of sanctions.
Teimuraz Bochorishvili, OJSC "Slavyanka" Director, Chairman of the Bobruisk Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Andrey Yartsev, head of the Mogilev FEZ Administration, shared their experience of cooperation with the Mogilev Branch of the BelCCI.
Following the voting results, 14 delegates were elected to represent the Mogilev Region business at the Congress.
Within the framework of the regional meeting, the Mogilev Region enterprises were also awarded diplomas of the "Best Exporter 2021" republican contest, and the certificates were presented to new BelCCI members in the region.
