The series of business events within the new project of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Export online", aimed at digitalization of domestic companies' export activities, has been opened by a webinar on the largest international electronic B2B platform Alibaba.com.
On opening the event, the BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich noted the recent dynamic development of the e-commerce market, underlying the importance of the Belarusian businesses' involvement in its processes."Today, e-commerce is an integral part of international trade activity, and Belarusian companies can't stand aside of it," Vladimir Ulakhovich said.
The Export online project will help companies to gain applied knowledge about the largest e-commerce platforms performance and available marketing tools, to explore their potential for distributing Belarusian products, consult their official representatives and experts. "The main task of our new project is to assist our enterprises while entering the key e-commerce platforms, to facilitate further efficient promotion of Belarusian goods at these platforms," the BelCCI Chairman underlined.
During the webinar, Boris Neyman, Director General of PAL LLC (a Russian company which is the official service partner of Alibaba.com) spoke on the current tendencies in B2B e-commerce, emphasizing the importance of digital sales and communication channels during the pandemic, described the geography and target audience of Alibaba.com, the platform possibilities for online export development, the algorithm for entering the platform and its tariff policy.
Nikolay Olshansky, head of the service department of PAL LLC, presented the sales channels and promotion mechanisms available for companies registered on Alibaba.com, methods of communication with potential customers, available analytical tools, as well as the requirements for the materials posted on the website.
Following the presentations, representatives of more than 70 Belarusian enterprises participating in the Export online project received answers to questions about the possibilities and mechanisms of interaction with a service partner.
In the course of the Export online project, the BelCCI, with the support of experts in the field of e-commerce, seeks to provide access to applied information, mechanisms and related services necessary for the further development of digital channels for promoting Belarusian products in foreign markets.
At the moment, more than 100 Belarusian enterprises interested in entering foreign electronic platforms are participating in the Export online BelCCI project.
