Within the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus at the 23rd Central Asian International Exhibition (FoodExpo Qazaqstan) in Almaty, the agrarian forum "Kazakhstan – Belarus" was held.
The speakers of the forum were First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Igor Brylo, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustem Kurmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin, Head of the Department for Coordination of Product Supplies to the Domestic Market and Foreign Economic Activities of the Belgospischeprom Concern Igor Grutso, food and processing industry experts and specialists from Kazakhstan and Belarus. The forum was moderated by Evgeniy Vvedenskiy, Director of Belinterexpo Exhibition Company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the forum, issues of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in the agro-industrial sphere, the development of a raw material base for agriculture in Kazakhstan and Belarus, innovative financing mechanisms for the agro-industrial complex and the finished goods sector, export support tools, the requirements of retail chains, and also examples of successful cooperation between scientific institutes and industrial enterprises were discussed.
As a result of the forum, several cooperation agreements were concluded between enterprises and organizations of Belarus and Kazakhstan in the food industry, agriculture, animal husbandry, as well as contracts for the supply of Belarusian dairy products to Kazakhstan.In addition, Kazakhstani partners expressed interest in the implementation of a project to create a joint milk processing enterprise at the Khorgos Center for Cross-Border Cooperation for further export of products to the PRC, the use of Belarusian technology in the design and construction of dairy farms, the participation of Belarusian specialists in the creation of a plant for the production of children's food in Kostanay region, exchange of experience in training personnel for agriculture.
