5 December 2025

The Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a business visit of a Belarusian delegation to the Republic of Turkey, which took place from December 1 to 5, 2025. The negotiations were held in Ankara and Eskisherich, that are key industrial and logistics centers of Turkey.

The main event of the first day was the "Ankara — Minsk" business forum, opened by Anatoly Glaz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey, Gursel Baran, Chairman of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, and Irina Ivanova, Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Relations of the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI. During the forum the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI and the Ankara Chamber of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement, which was an important step towards strengthening bilateral economic ties.

Moreover, B2B negotiations took place at the forum, during which entrepreneurs from both countries discussed prospects for cooperation in trade, industrial development, and logistics. These dialogues laid the groundwork for expanding partnerships and specific joint projects.

The next stage of the program was a business mission to Eskisherich — the industrial heart of the Anatolia region. The delegation held a series of meetings at the Commodity Exchange, the Eskisherich Chamber of Commerce, and the Eskisherich Chamber of Industry. The focus was on presentations of Belarusian companies' capabilities and direct B2B negotiations, which allowed for establishing personal contacts with Turkish entrepreneurs. Diplomatic support was provided by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey Anatoly Glaz, who personally participated in key meetings.

During the visit, Belarusian companies had the opportunity not only to present their products and technologies to Turkish partners but also to familiarize themselves with modern technologies and production processes in Turkey by visiting leading enterprises and free economic zones.

Ankara is known as an economic and industrial center of Turkey with developed industries in equipment manufacturing, transportation, pharmaceuticals, and the IT sector. The city is home to the headquarters of major companies such as ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, and TAI. Eskisherich, in turn, is renowned for mechanical engineering, the aviation industry, and food production, as well as close ties with universities and technoparks, which provide the region with high export potential and innovative development.

The Minsk Branch of the BelCCI systematically develops partnership with Turkey, implementing comprehensive programs to expand trade and economic interaction. Particular attention is paid to creating platforms for B2B communication, exchanging experiences between enterprises, and implementing joint initiatives.
