Awarding of the enterprises of Brest region – laureates of the "Best exporter of 2020" republican contest

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich handed out awards to the following five Brest Region enterprises being the laureates of the "Best Exporter 2020" republican contest:

Berezastroymaterialy JSC – the winner in the category "Construction and Production of Construction Materials";

JV Santa Bremor LLC – a diploma in the category "Food Industry";

Savushkin Product JSC – a diploma in the category "Dairy Industry";

Pinsk Meat-Packing Plant OJSC – a diploma in the category "Meat Industry";

Freeza Industry FLLC – a diploma in the category "Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in the Production Sector".

The Chairman of the BelCCI congratulated the heads of the enterprises being the laureates and thanked them for their work in "Made in Belarus" brand promotion. He noted that Brest companies, especially food industry ones, are known and loved all over the world today. Five enterprises being the laureates made a significant contribution to the export money box of the region and the country according to the last year results.

Vladimir Ulakhovich noted, "The contest the "Best Exporter of the Year" serves as an objective assessment of the achievements of the companies forming the image of Belarus abroad, establishing the basis for stable and sustainable development of the country and improving the welfare of citizens. Despite all the difficulties, our companies prove daily that "Made in Belarus" brand is a sign of product quality, due to which we have a positive trade surplus (in Brest Region it comprises 875 million US dollars) even when being in challenging environment. And the recognition of merits of those making such a significant contribution is important nowadays more than ever."

The Deputy Chairman of Brest Region Executive Committee Dmitry Gorodetskiy, who took part in the honouring ceremony for the winners and award winners of the contest, noted that during the last difficult year Brest enterprises did not stop their operation; they restructured their work with foreign partners, that allowed them to ensure a positive dynamics of export supplies proceeding to be as such this year. Dmitry Gorodetskiy noted, "The contest does not serve only as the recognition of merits of the companies, but also as an opportunity to evaluate the export achievements in each region. Traditionally, the Brest Region holds leading position in the food supplies; our region accounts for a quarter of the food products export throughout the country. But at the same time, we have successful enterprises, best practices in other fields, and we will continue to develop them, so that there will be more Brest companies among the winners of the contest in the future, and the export turnover will increase even faster."
