Belarus and Astrakhan Region Increase Trade Turnover

Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met with Stanislav Sinchenko, Head of the Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The parties discussed joint projects and opportunities to strengthen business ties between Belarus and Astrakhan Oblast.

The trade turnover between Belarus and Astrakhan Oblast over the past five years reached its peak in 2022 – $62 million. According to the data for 2024, this figure was almost $47 million, adding 13% to 2023. At the same time, Belarusian exports over the past three years have kept within the range of $12.3 million to $13 million.

Belarus In January – February this year, mutual trade in goods exceeded $9 million, which is 72% more than in the same period last year, while exports – $2 million, doubling.

Belarus supplies to the Russian region mainly machines and devices for lifting, moving, unloading and loading, aluminium bars and profiles, timber, cement, concrete or artificial stone products. Sulphur, flat-rolled steel and other steel products, fish and tomatoes come from the Astrakhan region to our country.
