Belarus–Kenya virtual business meeting

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, assisted by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kenya, organized a Belarus–Kenya virtual business meeting.

Participating in the event were the BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kenya Pavel Vziatkin, the President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Richard Ngatia, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Kenya Investment Agency, more than 50 representatives of Belarusian and Kenyan companies.

During the meeting, the prospects of Belarus-Kenya cooperation were discussed in the fields of agricultural products manufacture and processing, IT, education, the production and supplies of agricultural equipment, import of coffee, tea, fresh fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, pulses. The potential of Kenya as a transport and logistics hub for Belarusian business in Eastern and Central Africa was presented as well as financial instruments to support the export of Belarusian machinery to the African continent.

As part of the event, the BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich and the President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Richard Ngatia signed the Agreement on Cooperation between the two organizations.

Governed by the aim to assist Belarusian and Kenyan organizations and companies in business networking and extension of mutually beneficial cooperation, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry have agreed to to be engaged in the organization of business missions, B2B negotiations, exhibitions, fairs, seminars and other events with the participation of businessmen from the two countries, to exchange commercial proposals and information on trade and economic activities in Belarus and Kenya, to assist in the opening of joint ventures and other structures promoting the development of business cooperation, to cooperate in international arbitration.
