On March 29-31, the Belarus – The Taste of Nature pavilion was presented within the framework of the 21st International Exhibition "Foodstuffs, Ingredients and Production Technologies – UzFood", with the participation of 21 food manufacturing companies.
The organizer of the exposition is the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the official representative of the UzFood exhibition in Belarus. The exposition was organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan Council of Farmers, Dekhkan Farms and Homestead Lands Owners.
The Belarusian pavilion opening ceremony was attended by Leonid Marinich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Bahodir Umirshaykhov, Chairman of the Board of the Food Industry Association of Uzbekistan, Nematjon Akhmedzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Association "Uzbekozikovkatzahira", Valeryan Klim, General Director of OJSC "Grodnomyasomolprom Holding Management Company".
Exploring the pavilion, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Leonid Marinich noted, "Large-scale Belarusian expositions at the largest exhibitions in Uzbekistan have become a good tradition. Belarusian products are well known in the Uzbek market, local consumers value them for their high quality and natural taste. At the same time, there is great potential for expanding cooperation between the businesses of our countries, increasing the volume and expanding the range of food products supplied to the Uzbek market."
Bahodir Umirshaykhov, Chairman of the Board of the Food Industry Association of Uzbekistan expressed confidence that the representative participation of Belarusian enterprises in the exhibition will help strengthen trade and economic relations between entrepreneurs of the two countries and increase the export of Belarusian goods to Uzbekistan.
The Belarus – The Taste of Nature pavilion participants offered potential partners a wide range of products – from the sales leaders in the Uzbek market to new products.
Concern "Belgospischeprom" presented the products of the confectionery factories "Krasny Pishchevik" and "Spartak", as well as the Minsk Margarine Plant and the Slutsk Sugar Refinery. Meat products were demonstrated to the exhibition visitors by Brest, Volkovysk, Grodno, Oshmyany, Pinsk and Slonim meat processing plants. The dairy segment was represented by Bellakt, Belovezhskiye Syry, Kobrin Butter and Cheese Factory, Luninets Dairy Plant, Lida Milk Canning Plant, Molochny Mir, Molochny Gostinets, and Oshmyany Cheese Factory.
The national pavilion of Belarus at the 21st International Exhibition "Food Ingredients and Production Technologies – UzFood" in Tashkent received two awards – for the best stand design and the best national pavilion.
The UzFood International Exhibition is the largest specialized event in Uzbekistan. It is held with the official support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association "Uzbekozikovkatzakhira", the Agency for Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market and the Development of Winemaking of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In 2022, over 140 companies from 25 countries of the world took part in the exhibition: Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, South Korea, Lithuania, the Netherlands, UAE, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Switzerland and Sri Lanka. The exhibition included the following sections: food, drinks, ingredients, food equipment and packaging. More than 6000 specialists attended the event.
