BelCCI Chairman V.Ulakhovich takes part in the 19th meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS member states

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich took part in the 19th meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS member states. The meeting had the format of a videoconference and was chaired by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Participating in the meeting were also Chairman of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS member states, Chairman of the CCI of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, President of the CCI of the Republic of Azerbaijan Niyaz Ali-zade, President of the CCI of the Republic of Armenia Martin Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Ayan Erenov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova Natalya Kalenik, Head of the Strategic Development Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Tagayev. The Executive Committee Chairman, Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergei Lebedev welcomed the Council members with a video address.

The meeting participants discussed current issues of inter-chamber interaction, promising areas of cooperation and plans for holding joint events in 2022, existing barriers in mutual trade and mechanisms of the CCIs' work to eliminate them, the issues concerning the implementation of the Interstate program of innovative cooperation of the CIS member states until 2030, maintaining a consolidated list of competitive products of the CIS member states, amendments to the Rules for determining the country of origin of goods, the formation of a list of exhibition and fair events proposed for holding under the patronage of the Council of Heads of the CIS Chambers in 2022.

Addressing the meeting participants, Vladimir Ulakhovich noted the positive dynamics of cooperation between Belarus and the Commonwealth countries, spoke about the key events held by the BelCCI jointly with the partner chambers of the CIS countries in 2021, and also invited the Council members to take part in a special meeting of the leaders of the CIS Chambers to be held in Minsk in December on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth.
