Business meeting of business circles of the Republic of Belarus and the Pskov region of the Russian Federation

Within the framework of the visit to Pskov of the governmental delegation of the Republic of Belarus under the leadership of Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and the holding of the tenth meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Pskov region, a business meeting was held, organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Pskov region".

The plenary part was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov and the President of the CCI of the Pskov region Vladimir Zubov.

In his speech, Mikhael Miatlikov noted the effectiveness and efficiency of partnership relations between the chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and the Pskov region, which have recently been developing especially actively: business events, negotiations with specific agreements and contracts are held, relations at the level of regions are developing, enterprises actively participate in exhibitions and fairs in Belarus and the Pskov region.

"I am confident that the current visit of the Belarusian delegation will be another confident step towards expanding bilateral business cooperation with the enterprises of the region. Belarus and the Pskov region are connected not only by a common border, but also by the centuries-old history of free trading cities. Our country annually develops interregional cooperation with the Russian Federation, expanding the areas of interaction with the Pskov business," the BelCCI Chairman noted.

He also assured that the chambers of commerce and industry would remain reliable partners for the Belarusian-Russian business dialogue.

During the business meeting, the heads and specialists of 28 Belarusian enterprises of various industries discussed with potential partners from 70 enterprises of the Pskov region, the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation, directions of interaction and industrial cooperation.

The representatives of Pskov enterprises were presented the tools of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, the possibilities of using Belarusian-made agricultural drones in agriculture, as well as the tools of export financing for supplies of Belarusian enterprises to the Russian Federation from the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

Igor Petrishenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, and Ninel Salagaeva, Deputy Governor of the Pskov region, were the guests of honor at the business meeting.

Within the framework of the meeting, commercial contracts and documents on cooperation were signed.
