Business Cooperation Council session within the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia

Within the framework of the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Mogilev, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation organized a Business Cooperation Council session.

The session was attended by the Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Economy, Budget and Finance Vladimir Pantyukhov, the Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Dmitri Mezentsev, the BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia Sergei Katyrin, Belarusian and Russian businessmen.

Vladimir Ulakhovich noted that the Business Cooperation Council is a new platform within the framework of the Forum of Regions. Is an opportunity for the CEOs of major enterprises and business people to discuss topical issues of mutual cooperation.

The priority topics of the first Council session were industrial cooperation and overcoming the barriers that still exist in foreign trade. The parties also discussed import substitution.

Belarusian industrial enterprises signed contracts to supply $335 million worth of products to Russia during the session. Mogilevkhimvolokno and MTZ signed the biggest contracts with the Russian partners.
