Business visit to Tehran

The Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture organized a business visit to Tehran from October 15 to October 18 with the assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in Iran in order to promote Belarusian exports to the countries of the “far arc” and establish bilateral cooperation.

As part of the visit, the business forum “Iran-Belarus” was held on October 16. Sergey Nabeshko, General Director of the Minsk branch of the BelCCI addressed the participants of the business forum and made a presentation “Republic of Belarus is Your Reliable Partner”, drawing attention to the opportunities and tools to assist businesses of the two countries to increase mutual trade turnover.

Mahmoud Najafi Arab, Chairman of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, expressed interest in the development of cooperation between the chambers for the benefit of sustainable development of our countries.

Denis Zdorov, Senior Counselor of the Embassy of Belarus in Iran emphasized the importance of bilateral events organized by the chambers.

Following the official part of the business forum, the cooperation agreement was signed between the Minsk branch of the BelCCI and the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, which will undoubtedly give an additional jump-start to the development of Belarusian and Iranian business relations.

This was followed by bilateral negotiations between the business representatives of the two countries.

As part of the business visit, the representatives of Belarusian enterprises visited the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Iran, as well as a number of Iranian enterprises.
