On July 11, a business forum "Industrial Dialogue: Russia – Belarus" was held in Yekaterinburg within the framework of the INNOPROM international exhibition. The event was organized by the ministries of industry of the two countries.
The plenary session of the forum was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchyk, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev, as well as the senoir executives of a number of Belarusian enterprises. The plenary session was moderated by the heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Belarus and Russia, Mikhael Miatlikov and Sergey Katyrin.
As part of the business forum, a solemn signing of four documents was held. These are an agreement between the governments of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the machine-tool industry, an agreement between JSC "BELAZ" – the management company of the holding "BELAZ-Holding" and JSC "Russian Export Center" on mutual understanding and cooperation and a cooperation agreement between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Russian Export Center. Another significant document signed following the results of the forum in Yekaterinburg is a comprehensive interdepartmental program in the field of aircraft manufacturing.
As Piotr Parkhomchyk noted, a special relationship of strategic partnership has long been established between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. "The INNOPROM site is another opportunity to take stock, discuss topical issues of industrial development, find new partners, sign important contracts and other documents," the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus emphasized.
