Minsk Days in Kazan: Strengthening the Bridges of Business Cooperation

The Belarusian delegation, led by Vladimir Kukharev, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, concluded the first Minsk Day with a large-scale business forum in Kazan. This event acted as a catalyst for initiating new projects between Minsk and Kazan. The delegation included executives and specialists from over 20 enterprises, while more than 100 participants from Kazan attended the business forum and engaged in bilateral negotiations.

As a result of the event, seven agreements and contracts were signed across various fields, ranging from digital technologies to agriculture.

The Minsk Branch of the BelCCI organized the business forum titled "Minsk and Kazan: Sister Cities – A New Driver of Development." Sergei Nabeshko, General Director of the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI, remarked, "Minsk and Kazan are connected not only through cooperation but also by 28 years of partnership. Since 1997, we have learned from each other, exchanged experiences, and nurtured joint projects. In December 2024, our friendship had reached a new level with the signing of a sister city agreement, making Kazan the 37th city on this prestigious list. This is not just a number; it symbolizes that Minsk is open to the world while valuing long-tested partnerships. Today’s forum is a logical continuation of this story. We are here to transform sister-city ties into effective tools for our economy, culture, and technology. This event aims not just to exchange business cards but to launch concrete projects."

The forum provided a platform for strategic discussions on developing interregional cooperation, the digital transformation of the economy, and implementing joint investment projects.

The Belarusian delegation also visited key organizations and enterprises in Kazan, including the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The first day concluded with the theatrical and musical project "The Beauty of the Belarusian Land," which was attended by officials, residents, and guests of Kazan.

In addition to the business program, the Minsk Days featured cultural and sporting events, including a football match between students from sports schools in Minsk and Kazan, as well as a photo exhibition titled "Reborn from the Ruins" at the Saydash Cultural Center. From June 10 to 15, a fair showcasing Belarusian goods will be held at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park, featuring food products, textiles, and equipment from Belarusian manufacturers.
