Hungary-Belarus business forum

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hungary and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Hungary organized the Hungary-Belarus business forum in an online format.

Participating in the business forum were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary Aleksandr Ponomarenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Belarus Zsolt Cutora, Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI Denis Meleshkin, Vice-President of the Committee for International Affairs of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hungary Istvan Szekeres, representatives of more than 80 companies from both states.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic relations were considered, as well as possibilities and advantages of doing business in Belarus and Hungary, successful joint projects.

Participants of the forum stated the active nature of Belarus-Hungary trade links, the considerable potential for increasing the volume of mutual trade, for expanding the choice of imports and exports, and for raising mutual investments.

During the forum, it was decided to set up a joint Belarusian-Hungarian Business Council based on the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries. It is planned that co-chairs of the Business Council will be CEO of Stadler Minsk LLC Philipp Brunner and CEO of Stadler Hungary Zoltan Dunai.
