
The Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a roundtable discussion and business negotiations with the Ulyanovsk region state authorities and business representatives on November 20.
Sergey Nabeshko, General Director of the Minsk branch of the BelCCI, opened the meeting by talking about the potential for increasing trade and economic co-operation between the regions. By the way, Vladimir Kukharev, the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee and head of the delegation of the Belarusian delegation, signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of Ulyanovsk region on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural co-operation until 2026.
Sergey Goryachev, Head of Administration of the Municipal Entity ‘Ulyanovsk District’, made a presentation on the economic and tourist potential of the Ulyanovsk district.
The administration of Ulyanovsk district expressed interest in the Belarusian market during the meeting, namely in purchasing meat and dairy products, some items of finishing materials, and municipal equipment. They also identified a great potential for mutually beneficial co-operation in the sphere of tourism.
Belarusian and Russian business representatives took part in the round table discussion. On the part of the Ulyanovsk region were present managers of Undorovsky mineral water plant ‘Volzhanka’, a town-forming enterprise, which is located in close proximity to the Undorovskoye field.
The plenary part was followed by business negotiations. Among the issues discussed were the establishment of mutually beneficial co-operation in the sphere of mineral water sales, purchase of raw materials for its production and packaging.
Visits to Belarusian enterprises are included in the programme of the business visit of the Ulyanovsk Oblast delegation.
