Round Table on the Inclusion of Industrial Goods in the Eurasian Register

A roundtable discussion on inclusion of industrial goods into the Eurasian Register was held at the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

The issue is highly relevant as the amendments to the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Decision No. 105 dated November 23, 2020, "On the Approval of the Rules for Determining the Country of Origin of Certain Goods for the Purposes of Public (Municipal) Procurement," came into force on February 3. As a result a number of the issues for further effective work with the enterprises when conducting the relevant expertise are to be clarified.

The event was attended by Nikolai Zhukovsky, the Head of the BelCCI Department for Certification and Expert Assessment, Irina Kutsko, the Deputy Director General for Certification and Expert Assessment of the Minsk Office of BeltPP, Maxim Smirkin, the Head of the Department for Certification and Expert Assessment of the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI. Oleg Statkevich, Pyotr Anufriev and Natalia Taborko, the leading experts of the Department for Certification and Expert Assessment of the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI’s Machinery and Equipment.

At the roundtable, the participants discussed the key issues in regard to the amendments to Decision No. 1and analyzed the specifics of the Rules applied taking the concrete examples.

A wide range of the issues were considered including the principles of drawing up the documents for carrying out the examination and the need to provide timely the necessary documents at the enterprises for the preparation of the acts. The procedure for confirming the research and (or) development costs was discussed in detail.

The participants had an opportunity to ask their questions and receive the experts’ answers at the round table. According to the guests the meeting was effective which proves the need for such activities to continue.

The enterprises were provided with the list of the Government-supported programs for 2025 under Decision 105.
