Winners of the Best Exporter 2023 contest announced at a ceremony in Minsk

The intrigue of the "Best Exporter 2023" national contest has been revealed: the winners and holders of diplomas were announced during the solemn ceremony, which traditionally took place in the Dipservice Hall in Minsk.

The organizer of the contest is the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; co-organizers are republican bodies of state administration, executive committees and other organizations.

152 enterprises were shortlisted for the final stage of the contest. A winner was determined in each of the 17 contest categories. Besides, the contest committee decided to award 29 participants who showed outstanding results in exports last year with diplomas, as well as to award two special diplomas of the contest – for the successful export promotion to the "far arc" countries and for high results in exporting environmental mechanical engineering products.

The awarding of new special diplomas is not the only innovation of the 2023 contest. For the first time, the award ceremony coincided with the annual seminar of the heads of the foreign diplomatic missions of the Republic of Belarus, which allowed more than 50 heads of Belarusian embassies to take part in it.

Besides, alongside the main heroes of the evening, the best exporters of 2023, the ceremony was attended by the heads of the republican and local government bodies, public organizations and unions, partner organizations of the BelCCI, mass media, representatives of the BelCCI in foreign states, cultural community representatives.

The general partner of the awarding ceremony of the national contest "Best Exporter 2023" was Bank BelVEB OJSC, one of the largest banks in Belarus, which has been a reliable financial partner of thousands of small, medium and large enterprises and hundreds of thousands of private clients in the country for more than 30 years.

The partners of the ceremony were Industrial Park Development Company CJSC, EXIMGARANT of Belarus, B1 Audit Services LLC.

The special merits of the best exporters, whose efforts build the economy and stability of the country, have been recognized at the highest state level. Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko has sent greetings to the winners of the contest. Deputy Prime Minister Pyotr Parkhomchik read out the greeting.

The winners and diploma holders were awarded by senoir executives of the ministries, concerns, state committees, public associations, leading mass media.

Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov noted that the "Best Exporter of the Year" contest is an honorable and very responsible mission of the Chamber. Every year, together with the co-organizers – ministries, concerns, state committees, executive committees – the BelCCI makes every effort to highlight the achievements of domestic enterprises that have proved their professionalism and determination in foreign markets.

"The contribution of the best exporters to the country's economy is considerable: last year the finalists of the contest exported goods and services worth more than 10.7 billion dollars, or more than 22.3 percent of the country's total exports. Every third participant was able to reorient supplies and enter new markets last year, which were 60 countries of the world," Mikhael Miatlikov said. He thanked the co-organizers and participants of the ceremony and congratulated all the winners of the contest: "I am sure that this award will be a good incentive for achieving even better results, expanding production and entering world markets."

A memorable award for each winner was an author's statuette in the form of a golden talarian of Mercury, the patron god of trade and profit, specially designed for the contest by the Belarusian sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Belarus Vadim Matskevich.

The winners were also presented by the organizers of the ceremony with bright creative performances and the delicacies from the famous chef Anton Kalenik.
