23 April 2026

On April 23, 2026, a presentation and bilateral meetings with the participation of a delegation from the Sughd Region of the Republic of Tajikistan were held in Minsk.

The Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry acted as the organizer of the business meeting. The event was opened by Sergey Nabeshko, General Director of the Minsk Office of the BCCI, who welcomed the participants and noted the strong interest of Belarusian businesses in cooperation with the Sughd Region. The floor was then given to the official representatives.

The event was held at the President Hotel and brought together more than 100 companies and organizations from both countries.

The Tajik delegation, headed by Mr. Anvar Ya’qubi, Deputy Chairman of the Sughd Region, included the heads of 32 enterprises who arrived in Minsk. Among them were major producers of beverages and food products (BARS, Syrdaryo, Subhi Vatan, Fayzi Rasul), metallurgical and mining companies (Nord Asia Metal, State Unitary Enterprise Fon Yagnob, Kudrat-2010), textile and garment enterprises (Organic Yan, Gulistoni Muosir, Lider), as well as construction companies, manufacturers of children’s goods, carpets, and building materials.

From the Belarusian side, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, as well as heads of relevant organizations and exporting enterprises interested in developing cooperation and supplying goods to Tajikistan.

During the presentation, Denis Kurlenko, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, addressed the Tajik business representatives. In his speech, he emphasized the strong potential for mutually beneficial cooperation – ranging from supplies of Belarusian machinery and pharmaceuticals to joint projects in the agro-industrial sector. Mr. Anvar Ya’qubi noted the dynamic growth of the Sughd Region’s economy and invited Belarusian partners to participate in the region’s industrial and tourism projects.

Afterwards, the Tajik colleagues were presented with the following presentations: 1. Belarus as a country for long-term partnership: economic and investment potential; 2. Tourism potential of the Republic of Belarus; 3. Treatment opportunities at the largest clinic in the Minsk Region.

After the plenary session, direct bilateral meetings were held between Belarusian and Tajik entrepreneurs. The participants discussed supplies of food products (juices, oils, canned goods, and meat products), cooperation in the construction sector (metal products, fasteners, and thermal insulation materials), collaboration in the textile industry, as well as logistics issues.
