Meeting with Igor Garlit Bailen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Belarus

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Belarus, Igor Garlit Bailen.

The meeting focused on the actualization of cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The key topic of the meeting was the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the BelCCI and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2009. This document has became the basis for further development of bilateral relations in trade and economy.

An important event was the actualization of this agreement during the visit of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Lukashevich to the Philippines in October 2024. This event underscores the desire of both sides to intensify cooperation and deepen business contacts.

The Belarusian side proposed considering the possibility of organizing a visit to Belarus by a delegation of business circles under the leadership of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Such a visit could become an excellent platform for establishing business contacts and deepening mutual ties.

The participants of the meeting expressed their hope for the prompt resumption of active dialogue and for the successful holding of future events to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
