The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a presentation of opportunities for cooperation between Belarusian enterprises and the Armenia-Iran Business and Development Company (AIBDC) and conditions for product placement within the framework of the Belarusian showroom at the Iranian Trade Center in Yerevan.
The specialised event for the Belarusian business community was organized by the BelCCI in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Armenia. More than 50 representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations interested in presenting their products within the showroom in such industries as woodworking and furniture production, development of electronics, integrated circuits, mechanical engineering and automotive industry, production of household appliances, tableware, medical products, textiles, e-commerce services, transport and logistics, food, dairy industry, production of chemical products, metallurgy, and others took part in the event in the face-to-face and online format.
Mikhael Miatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, opened the meeting. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia, Alexander Konyuk, representative of the Armenia-Iran company on business and development, Marina Sandoyan, director of CJSC "Horizont-Belinvest-Developer", Aleksandr Gruzd provided the participants with detailed information on the prospects and possible forms of cooperation with AIBDC, conditions of product placement within the specialised showroom in the Iranian Trade Center, as well as multimedia support of the showroom.
The Iranian Trade Center in Yerevan is scheduled to open in April-May 2024. AIBDC has taken the initiative to become a kind of a bridge of economic opportunities between Iran, Armenia and Belarus and, taking into account the production potential of our country, suggested hosting a permanent showroom with Belarusian products on the basis of the centre on conditions favourable for the Belarusian side (without rent and utility charges).
The Armenian-Belarusian trading house "Ar-Be" will act as a single operator of this project from the Belarusian side.
Currently, work is underway to attract Belarusian business entities to participate in filling the showroom, developing the design of pavilions and their construction.
