Expanding Opportunities for Belarusian Business: Agreement with China’s Largest Exhibition Updated

China has firmly established itself as Belarus’s second-largest trading partner after Russia. During the current period alone, trade turnover between the two countries reached an impressive USD 3.7 billion. To help Belarusian enterprises enter and develop this vast market even more effectively, the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the organizers of the Canton Fair (China Foreign Trade Centre) signed an updated Global Partnership Agreement online.

Welcoming the participants of the signing ceremony, Sergey Nabeshko, Director General of the Minsk Office of the BCCI, emphasized that the extension of this agreement is of strategic importance for domestic businesses for three key reasons:

1.     Direct Access to Innovation. Visits by Belarusian delegations to Guangzhou enable company executives and specialists to gain first-hand experience with advanced products and breakthrough technologies, as well as assess global market trends before they become widespread.

2.     High Conversion Rate and Tangible Results. Over the past two years, the Minsk Office of the BCCI has successfully organized four visits involving 30 Belarusian enterprises (as part of the first and second phases of the fair). Experience shows that such visits translate into actual contracts, logistics optimization, and the launch of new production lines in Belarus.

3.     Digitalization of Negotiations. Thanks to the dedicated mobile application of the Canton Fair, Belarusian exporters and importers can seamlessly track products of interest, explore supplier profiles, and initiate targeted B2B negotiations from the very first day of the exhibition, saving valuable time.
