Reception of the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Gomel

On July 21, 2022, at the invitation of the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a delegation of business circles of the Republic of Bashkortostan headed by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities Lena Izotova arrived in Belarus.

The program of the visit was opened by a working meeting between the head of the delegation and Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Andrey Konyushko, where prospects for cooperation between the regions were discussed.

Representatives of Bashkir manufacturers of oil and gas and other machinery equipment showed interest in negotiating with Gomel oil and gas enterprises: RUE PO «Belorusneft», State Research and Design Institute of the Oil Industry «BelNIPIneft», Belarusian Gas Processing Plant. There was also a visit to JSC "Seismotekhnika".

At a meeting with Olga Voronovich, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, a dialogue was held with poultry enterprises on the possibility of producing environmentally friendly organic fertilizers based on bird droppings. After that, the delegation of Bashkortostan visited the largest enterprise of the dairy industry in the region, JSC «Milkavita», constructive negotiations were held on the possibilities of supplying dairy products.

A meeting with a manufacturer of consumer goods from Bashkortostan was held at the Main Department of Trade of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, and a visit was made to trade facilities of the regional center.

At the end of the delegation's stay in Gomel, B2B diversified events were organized with Belarusian enterprises in the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Opening the meeting, General Director Marina Filonova expressed her readiness to develop cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and business associations of Bashkortostan, to continue the exchange of visits of business circles, focusing on mutual participation in the main events of the regions.

Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Igor Aslyuk and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan Lena Izotova, noting the peculiarities of the economy of the Gomel Regional and the Republic of Bashkortostan, expressed mutual interest in the development of foreign trade between the regions.

The delegation of Bashkortostan held B2B negotiations with 30 representatives of enterprises from the Gomel region. Issues of import substitution, logistics, product supplies were discussed.

On July 22, 2022, the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan will continue to work in Minsk.
