A regional Assembly of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry members was held in Minsk, where BelCCI 12th Congress delegates were elected.
The event was attended by the BelCCI Chairman Mikhael Miatlikov, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Nadezhda Lazarevich, Economy Committee of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Chairman Alexander Rulkevich, about 500 executives and representatives of enterprises and organizations – members of the BelCCI in Minsk and the Minsk region.
General Director of the BelCCI Minsk Branch Sergey Nabeshko presented a final report on the work of the enterprise for the period from September 2019 to August 2022, emphasizing that more than half of the BelCCI members are in Minsk and the Minsk region. The further strategic development of the entire system of the Chamber depends on their activity and focus on results, and the Minsk Branch is ready to provide maximum support to businesses in overcoming the difficult conditions that had developed at the present time.
Sergey Nabeshko emphasized, "We are extremely close to you, which means we save your resources and time, we are ready to provide the widest possible range of services that are in demand by business, we work on the "one-stop shop" approach on all issues that are within the competence of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry."
Addressing the participants of the meeting, the BelCCI Chairman Mikhael Miatlikov highlighted that the next Congress is held in the anniversary year for the Chamber – the events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the BelCCI will be held in December. He thanked the BelCCI member enterprises for cooperation, the history of which dates back decades with many companies. Mikhael Miatlikov also emphasized that in times of challenges, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry seeks to support enterprises and do everything possible to minimize the consequences of restrictive measures.
Mikhael Miatlikov noted, "Sanction pressure has a direct impact on the BelCCI as well: the number of issued certificates decreases as soon as the supplies of Belarusian products do. This is an additional motivation for the introduction of new types of services needed by business. At present, the services of force majeure certificaion are in particular demand, and the BelCCI is updating its forms and methods of work in accordance with modern business demands."
Nadezhda Lazarevich, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, noted that the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI speaks with the voice of business, and the Minsk City Executive Committee is making practical adjustments to legislative acts in order to improve business conditions. "Tomorrow, a large-scale International Economic Forum will be held, which will allow exporters to find new markets and business partners," she said, inviting the regional meeting participants to take part in the event.
Alexander Rulkevich, Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, positively assessed cooperation with the BelCCI in his speech: "In recent years, dozens of business forums, meetings, and visits have been held. The economic field and export are the most important guides in our country's development, and the Minsk Branch helps all interested organizations in solving these problems"
Vitaly Vabishchevich, Head of the Legal Department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented practical cases on resolving issues that arise for Belarusian businesses under sanctions as the force majeure circumstances.
Yury Leonovets, Director General of ATK CJSC, Yaroslav Grebenshchikov, Director of Science Solutions LLC, Nikolay Radoman, Chairman of the Board of Agrokombinat Snov SEC, and Natalia Kurash, Director of Belinterexpo Unitary Enterprise, shared their experience of successful cooperation with the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI.
According to the results of voting, 71 delegates were elected to represent Minsk and the Minsk region at the 12th Congress of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the end of the event, 15 diploma winners of the Republican Contest "The Best Exporter of 2021" were awarded.
Sergey Nabeshko, General Director of the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI, thanked the partners and members of the BelCCI for fruitful cooperation on behalf of the entire unitary enterprise team.
