A round table "Belarus – partner for Africa" was held as part of the second Belarusian-African Economic Forum. Representatives of branch ministries, financial and business organizations presented the trade and economic potential of Belarus and success stories of Belarus–Africa cooperation to African states diplomatic missions' representatives.
The BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich made a presentation on the voice of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the development of business cooperation with African countries. He emphasized that it was a great honor and responsibility for the BelCCI to be a co-organizer of the forum because the main mission of the Chamber is to assist the Belarusian business in developing foreign economic relations and all partners from different countries – in establishing contacts and implementing joint mutually beneficial projects. "All our services are focused on supporting these ties, and we will readily provide all our opportunities both to Belarusian enterprises and our foreign partners, in this very case from African countries," the BelCCI head said.
Vladimir Ulakhovich added that the BelCCI has positive and constructive experience of interaction with partners from different African countries. Over the past two and a half years, 37 joint events have been held with partners from 23 states, including online.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Aleksei Bogdanov, Deputy Minister of Education Siarhei Rudy, Deputy Minister of Health Boris Androsyuk, Director of BR-Consult of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus presented the state and prospects of the development of trade and economic relations with African countries in the field of agriculture and food, the education opportunities of the Republic of Belarus for representatives of African states, the prospects of international cooperation in the healthcare sphere, and export finance mechanisms.
