Sales mission of the delegation of the Irkutsk region to Brest and the Brest region

In the period from March 19 to March 21, 2024, a sales mission of representatives of the Irkutsk region of the Russian Federation to the Brest region took place.

On March 19, negotiations and visits to specialized enterprises in Baranovichi were organized. The delegates were received by PUP "Blik", OJSC "BAAZ", OJSC "Baranovichi Machine Tool Accessories Plant ".

On March 20, as part of the visit, the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia,” organised a business matchmaking session for business circles.

The event was moderated by Valery Labun, General Director of the Brest branch of the BelCCI, noting that cooperation with the Irkutsk region has many-sided prospects, despite the distance of the regions. Also present at the meeting were: Marina Petrova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Irkutsk Region; Oleg Murashev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Brest; Ivan Krasovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations and Investment Activities; Ilya Bannikov, Deputy Director of the Department for Support of Entrepreneurship and Foreign Economic Activity of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia.

Maria Petrova stressed out: “We have a great and interesting economic development ahead of the Irkutsk region and, of course, on this path we need reliable partners. I am happy to invite Brest companies to participate in the fifth Baikal International Partners Forum in May of this year.”

Negotiations took place between representatives of about 20 Belarusian and Irkutsk enterprises and organisations. Businessmen discussed the possibilities of developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of light industry, food production, mechanical engineering, logistics and others. The pinnacle event was the signing of a contract for the supply of products from LLC “Wild Siberia” to OJSC “Brest Regional Base “Bakaleya”. Next, representatives of the Irkutsk region: LLC “IrHydroMash” and LLC “TPK Kids” went to Pinsk to conduct direct negotiations with OJSC “Pinsk Order of the Badge of Honor Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant”, CJSC “Amkodor-Pinsk”, OJSC “Polesie”.
