A seminar "Hong Kong 2024 – potential and cooperation"

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Representative Office of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) held a seminar "Hong Kong Hong Kong 2024 – potential and cooperation".

More than 170 representatives of the Belarusian enterprises interested in using the potential of Hong Kong as one of the largest financial and trading centers in the world, a platform for entering the markets of China and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region attended the event at the BelCC or followed it via videoconferencing.

The event was moderated by Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI Denis Meleshkin. He noted that the seminar was intended to contribute to the further development of business ties between companies from Belarus and Hong Kong, to present opportunities for joint projects in various industries, and to become a platform for the exchange of experience, ideas and contacts.

Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China Tatyana Harlap and Head of HKTDC Representative Office in the EAEU, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Moldova, CEO of Russia – Hong Kong Business Cooperation Association Leonid Orlov presented the prospects for interaction with the Hong Kong business in 2024, the possibilities of the special administrative region of China as a global logistics center, a center of technology and innovation, as well as the advantages of using international exhibitions, conferences and other B2B services of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council as tools to enter Asian markets.

Dmitry Nor, Director of the Belarusian IT company Soft Sky Development LLC spoke about the successful experience of cooperation with Hong Kong companies in the field of technology.

At the end of the seminar, the representatives of Belarusian companies got an opportunity to ask the speakers their questions about the development of relations with the Hong Kong partners.
