Minsk hosted the 12th Congress of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazaruk, representatives of more than 130 enterprises and organizations – the Congress delegates and guests.
The BelCCI Chairman Mikhael Miatlikov summed up the work of the Chamber in 2019-2022 in all areas of its activity, presented plans for further development of the organization, improvement of the services to support Belarusian enterprises and promote their foreign economic interests.
"The Congress is a certain milestone when we take stock, evaluate what has been done and make plans for the future. I would like to emphasize that this Congress is being held on the eve of a significant event for us – the 70th anniversary of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Over these years, we have been striving to provide the services demanded by business and promote the interests of Belarusian export-oriented enterprises," the Chairman of the BelCCI said. He stressed that the recent three years have not been easy: the pandemic, sanctions, events in Ukraine – all this has had a serious impact on the activities of both enterprises and the Chamber. "But since the very beginning of all challenges, we have been looking for new forms and methods of work, we have strived to expand and modernize our services, including by quickly introducing an online format," Mikhail Myatlikov noted.
The Chairman of the BelCCI detailed on each area of activity of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including organization of international business events, coordination of exhibition and fair activities, legal support for business, including force majeure certification, which is especially important in the current conditions, promotion of business interests in state bodies and the EEC, business education, certification, examination and evaluation, protection of intellectual property, information support for exporting enterprises and other areas of the BelCCI's work to provide practical assistance to business.
"The main task of the BelCCI remains to assist in promoting Belarusian products in foreign markets and search for niches for our goods to be recognized all over the world," Mikhael Miatlikov said.
Svetlana Grebentsova, Chairman of the Audit Commission of the BelCCI, presented a report on the financial and economic activities of the BelCCI over the period July 2019 – June 2022.

The delegates of the Congress were satisfied with the work of the Chamber in the reporting period.The Congress elected new Council of the BelCCI and the Audit Commission of the BelCCI.
